Culture Austria
Austria is an internationally known and culturally rich nation, and brings forth its tradition in all areas of culture. Above all, the lifestyle of its inhabitants, the architecture of its places of interest and its expression of national pride are distinguishing marks of this country. Key words such as Viennese coffee house culture and the cabaret scene are just as typical for Austria as the beloved winter sports, the panache of its cities, and concepts such as wine taverns or festivals. Many buildings in Austria are counted as UNESCO World Heritage sites and in 2003 the city of Graz was the cultural capital of Europe.
