Travel deals Fügen - heavenly summer delight!
The Ziller Valley, or as it is secretly called - the “liveliest valley in the world”, is situated in the heart of Tyrol; its southern border, the Ziller Valley Alps, directly borders South Tyrol. The possibilities in this rather flat valley seem to be endless! So many activities can be found in this unique and very diverse region, that there is something to suit every taste. There are more than 800 km of marked cycling and mountain biking trails, a 1,000 km hiking network, countless different (and sometimes guided) adventure hikes, a mini-golf course, pools, lakes, paragliding… Not even skiing is out of reach in the summer here, as the year-round Hintertux Glacier ski area lets you enjoy ski runs even with the warm summer temperatures. Fügen - heavenly summer delight!Fügen is the largest and best-known town in the lower Ziller Valley, and consists of two centres. There's a lot going on in the afternoons in the narrow lanes of the old centre, with its countless stores, restaurants and cafes. The diverse recreational activities include an adventure pool, cycling and hiking paths, numerous spa treatments, romantic carriage rides and tennis courts. A trip with the nostalgic Ziller Valley train, for example, can be combined with a visit to Mayrhofen.
