Travel deals Zell am Ziller - the heart of the Ziller Valley!
The Ziller Valley, or as it is secretly called - the “liveliest valley in the world”, is situated in the heart of Tyrol; its southern border, the Ziller Valley Alps, directly borders South Tyrol. The possibilities in this rather flat valley seem to be endless! So many activities can be found in this unique and very diverse region, that there is something to suit every taste. There are more than 800 km of marked cycling and mountain biking trails, a 1,000 km hiking network, countless different (and sometimes guided) adventure hikes, a mini-golf course, pools, lakes, paragliding… Not even skiing is out of reach in the summer here, as the year-round Hintertux Glacier ski area lets you enjoy ski runs even with the warm summer temperatures. Zell am Ziller - the heart of the Ziller Valley!Zell am Ziller, heart of the Ziller Valley, is situated at 580 m above sea level. The town, with its five districts, delights guests with its hospitality and comprehensive selection of leisure activities for young and old. Rustic guest houses, cosy cafes and little shops ensure a nice family flair. Whether hiking, mountain climbing or leisurely cycling, everything is possible here. The Ziller Promenade also invites guests for a stroll. Those looking for more action will find it on mountain biking trails, at beach volleyball or high in the heavens when paragliding. The new, 1,450 m long "Arena Coaster" promises thrills and fun. You can spend the evening enjoying a Ziller Valley beer in the oldest local private brewery.
