Originally a small fishing village, Saint-Raphaël has developed into a famous sea resort. Since the 19th century, many famous people have built a villa here. Behind the harbour city, that's since grown together with the neighbouring city of Fréjus, begins the Esterel Massif with its red cliffs and diverse Mediterranean plants.
