Travel deals Uckermark - relaxation and experience in untouched nature!
In the Uckermark you can still experience untouched nature. Over 60% of the north-east German district is protected from intervention by nature preserves and can thus maintain such incomparable beauty and naturalness. The region of the Uckermark largely belongs to the state Brandenburg, and in the north partly to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is bordered to the east by the Oder. Three large nature preserves can be found here that allow you to wonder at the still-untouched, seemingly never-ending nature. In the West is the Natural Park Uckermärksche Seen, in which 230 of the 400 lakes of the Uckerland region can be found. In the South-east, you can visit the biosphere reserve Schorfheide-Chorin, a gorgeous cultural area piqued with bodies of water and wooded areas, or perhaps the National Park Unteres Odertal in the East with its numerous rare species of flora and fauna. The diverse natural habitats that span from painterly lakes to green woods to gentle hills came about during the last Ice Age. With hundreds of elegant manors and palaces as well as 150 churches from various eras also ensures that the region has quite rich cultural offerings as well.
