Travel deals Calella - beach holiday and so much more!
The Costa Brava, one of the best known coasts in Spain, runs south of the French border and approx. 220 km along the Mediterranean. The name "wild coast" comes from the northern part of the coast, which is impressive with its jagged rocks, steep cliffs and hidden bays. The Costa Brava changes its scenery in the southern part. Green forests cover the hills that slope gently down to the countless bays with their fine sand and luminous sea. Vibrant towns, idyllic landscapes with pine forests, and almost endless varieties of water sports make the Costa Brava a very popular, diverse holiday destination. Calella - beach holiday and so much more!
Calella (also known as Calella de la Costa) is one of the most well-known resorts of the Costa Brava. With its large selection of hotels, bars and restaurants and its large offer of sports and leisures time activities Calella is one of the most important tourist destinations in Spain. The open-minded resort with its typical Mediterranean climate has a long history and tradition to look back on and, even though Tourism has grown, the resort has maintained its charm with the lovely old town and alleys and bazaar-streets. The resorts sights worth seeing include e.g. the town hall, the neoclassical church Sant Maria y Sant Nicolau and the lighthouse built in 1859.
