Food & Drink Spain
Spanish cuisine is regarded as simple, but greatly varied. Fresh ingredients always make their way to the table. The dining habits and times are relatively similar throughout Spain; however, every region has its own typical culinary delicacies. In Galacia, for example, there are delicious bean and pea stews; grilled fish of every description can be found in Andalusia. On the other hand, typical Spanish roasted specialities await you further inland. A beloved dish of tourists and locals throughout the country is paella. Absolutely delicious and recommendable are tapas (small snacks) in every variation, for example Gambas al achillo, bacon-wrapped dates, Jamón Serrano or Patatas bravas. Generally, a portion of bread with Aioli (oil) will be served as well. A cool Cerveza (beer) is a very popular drink to enjoy with the meal. Not to be overlooked are the Spanish wines, for example Rioja.
